The problem of the Black people in America is inseparable from the problem of oppressed people all over the world.

And until the leaders of Black America realize that our problem is inseparable from the entire international problem, we will be considered a minority, we’ll be considered an underdog, and we’ll be begging for the things that we should have had when we were born.

"I was a young woman with an evolved mind who was not afraid of her beauty or her sexuality. For some people that’s uncomfortable. They didn’t understand how female and strong work together. Or young and wise. Or Black and divine."

If I am going to celebrate Christmas like a real American

Then lets discuss what I wish I would have received for Christmas:
1. A kindle
2. A juicer
3. A pretty eye make up pallet
4. A makeup brush set
5. Gift cards
6. Shoes, clothes, or jewelry
7. Money!
8. A paid bill
9. Books
10. Movies

What I received:
1. Beyonce Heat perfume (which I have stated several times I do not like the smell of)
2. A pillow made out of one of my old T-shirts

Allow me for these next couple of minutes to be ungrateful and mad at the fact that I put so much time and consideration into the gifts and the words expressed on their Christmas cards to yet again be disappointed.

Next year all of my time, energy, expenses, and love will go towards my favorite non-profit (PIH).

There is one particular picture

I feel the need to look at everyday.
I feel that if I don’t, one day I may loose the memory of you.

Forgiveness and love.

These two things have become the hallmark of black women all over the world because as the lowest human on the food chain, she is the one most often asked to forgive the legacies and transgressions of the rest of humanity’s greed and selfishness. She is the one asked, time and again, to love unconditionally the very people that she should hate with every fiber of her being.

And many times, those people she should hate are her very own children, her very own men. But men’s religions stop her from hating when it’s natural to hate.

The whole world depends on this weakness in her, her legendary self-loathing and belief in everyone but herself. The whole world lies and dubs her ‘Strong Black Woman,’ ‘Mother of the World,’ ‘African Queen’ as if she could ever cash these titles in and change the fact that the whole world’s spit, including her men and children’s, has been running down her face for thousands and thousands of years. These are the lies they fill her nappy head with. The titles that allow her in order to delude her into thinking that she has a place and a function in their hearts.

But the truth is the world has no heart. The whole world has followed the wrong man into the sunset and, consequently, violated both the spirit world and the natural world.
